Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client, a prominent construction company in California, is seeking a dedicated Financial Analyst to join their team! The successful candidate will play a critical role in financial planning and analysis, contributing valuable insights to support senior management's decision-making process. This is a new position working closely with the CFO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of financial analysis experience, including budgeting and financial analysis.
- Experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong Excel skills, including vlookup, pivot tables, and macros, as well as proficiency in PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate financial information, patterns, and projections to deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to company leadership.
- Assess and track key performance metrics, offering data-driven suggestions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, ensuring timely updates to revenue forecasts based on current backlog metrics.
- Generate periodic financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries, to support organizational decision-making.
- Conduct profitability evaluations for contracts, including the development of detailed Estimate-at-Complete (EAC) assessments.
- Create, refine, and maintain advanced financial models to assist in forecasting and scenario planning.
- Produce detailed reports on bank covenants, analyze loan terms, and develop projections on interest rate impacts.
- Identify and implement opportunities for operational and financial process enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Design and implement innovative dashboards and data visualizations to uncover trends and insights through advanced data analysis.
- Analyze budget variances and highlight areas for potential cost reductions or revenue generation opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare clear and concise reports and presentations for senior executives and external stakeholders.
